I help you with vegetarian and vegan recipes to easily make at home and enjoy with your family and friends.
Be it a simple meal that is healthy, hearty, and wholesome, or a fancy luxurious dish to make your special occasions all the more special, I love to make cooking more enjoyable and interesting for you.
Hello and welcome to my world of ‘Culinary Peace’. I am Praneetha, the cook, photographer, author and founder of this blog.
I am so glad you are here! 🙂
About Me
I was born and brought up in Mysuru (Mysore), India. I did my Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Technology in India.
After getting married in 2017, I moved to Stuttgart, Germany, and pursued another master’s while managing this blog part-time.
I was always passionate about cooking right from my childhood. I loved trying something new and my parents and younger brother were always the guinea pigs!
After I got married and moved to Germany, cooking became more serious and the interest to bring my mom’s kitchen here and to learn new recipes just boomed. As cliche as it sounds, I cannot deny the fact that the compliments and encouragement from my husband have truly been the backbone of this blog.
Apart from cooking, food photography and music (singing) are my other favorite things to do. I have been trained in Indian classical music (Carnatic classical) and I am a self-taught food stylist and photographer (still learning, though).
How ‘The Culinary Peace’ Started
As my passion for cooking grew, I decided to start a food page on Instagram to share my recipes. With more and more people trying and liking my recipes, I thought of finding a better place to document them all.
And that is how this food blog came into existence in 2018. I can say the feedback and honest comments from my followers added up to be the reason for this blog to take a shape.
I believe that cooking is an art and a therapy to the mind, that unleashes the creativity in you and brings in so much joy and peace. Hence, I decided to name my blog, ‘The Culinary Peace’.
I first started this blog to share the less known traditional Karnataka recipes that have been passed down from the generations. As days passed, I have also started to share other regional Indian vegetarian and vegan recipes that I have tried multiple times and absolutely enjoy eating.
What You Can Expect on This Blog
This food blog is all about vegetarian and vegan recipes. While most of them are Indian recipes, you might find some non-Indian or fusion recipes once in a while.
I want the recipes to turn out perfect for you all. Therefore, I only post the ones I like the most after multiple trials with the exact measurements.
To make it much simple for you, I also include step-by-step pictures of the method for every recipe. Some of the old recipes do not have them, and I will surely try to redo those recipe posts.
The recipes are grouped into different categories, under Recipe Index. Currently, there are 10 main categories and 2 subcategories.
As the categories get updated or changed, I will update it on this page as well.
